Minority Commission serves notice to Registrar Urdu University

Hyderabad: Telangana State Minority Commission has served a notice to Registrar Maulana Azad National Urdu University and sought details regarding non-renewal of Civil Service Academy. Advocate Mohammed Farooq Ali Khan from Hyderabad cited the report published in Siasat daily on May 18, which revealed non-renewal of Civil Service Academy by human Resource Development Ministry and University Grants Commission. The commission directed the registrar to submit the details by June 11.

It must be noted that Civil Service Academy was formed to provide coaching to the minority students. This year the course was not approved by the centre. Human Resource Development Ministry and University Grants Commission renew the academy after reviewing the performance. It is said that the renewal was not done due to unsatisfactory performance of the university. Minority students interested to appear for civil services exams will be deprived of coaching due to this decision.
