Hyderabad: Adnan and Nooman gave a written representation to Minorities Commission that NIA is threatening to record their statements against the Muslim youths. State Minorities Commission has taken a serious note and started consultations for the appointment of Advocate Commissioner to probe into the alleged threats of NIA.
It may be recalled that the then Chairman of AP Minorities Commission, Mr. Yousuf Quraishi had nominated Mr. Ravi Chandra, Advocate as Advocate Commissioner to enquire into the police excesses of the accused in Makkah Masjid Bomb Blast Case.
It may be mentioned that five Muslim youths were arrested before any crime was committed. The charges leveled against these youths are the same as were imposed on the Muslim youths arrested in Makkah Masjid Bomb Blast Case.
The family members of the arrested youths alleged that the weapons which are said to be seized from the houses of these were infact place NIA officials.
Chairman of Minorities Commission, Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, appealed to the members of the family not to worry about the youths arrested. The commission is considering appointing an Advocate Commissioner to find out the facts.
