Minority Commission has sought report from police and revenue officials in connection with the violent incidents occurred last month in Kishan Bagh area of old city and subsequent police firing. Commissioner Cyberabad and the concerned MRO sent a detailed report to the commission with regard to all incidents including police firing.
Meeting of Minority Commission was held at secretariat on Thursday under the presidentship of Chairman Abid Rasool Khan which was attended by commission members Prof. Maqbool Husain, Gautam Jain, Mrs. Qurratul Ain, Sarjeet Singh and others. The meeting reviewed the reports submitted by Commissioner Cyberabad and MRO and felt that both the reports are incomplete hence fresh notice was issued to the police seeking further clarifications.
Police was asked to clarify that why police played the role of silent spectators while rioters openly roamed about with weapons and made violent attacks. Commission also sought clarification as to which officer permitted for police firing. Apart from that clarification is also sought regarding action against offenders and registration of FIR. Commissioner Cyberabad has to submit the report within 15 days.
