State Minority Commission has begun its efforts to ensure admission into medical and other professional colleges to minority students on merit basis. The commission received complaints by various people and institutions that merit is being ignored in medical and other professional colleges at the time of admission. Although the Supreme Court and state High Court ordered to take students purely on merit basis, many colleges are defying the orders and doing injustice towards merit students.
After reviewing the complaints Minority Commission sent a letter to Principal Secretary Medical and Health and requested to issue orders to medical and dental colleges to ensure admission on merit basis.
