Minority Commission gives Rs 5 lakh, a house to kin of gas blast victims

Minority Commission chairman Abid Rasool Khan today said they have distributed Rs 5 lakh each to the next kin of five families, who were killed in a recent gas blast incident in Yakutpura in Old City of Hyderabad.

Talking to the media at the secretariat along with members Surjeeth Singh and Goutham Jain, he said the committee has taken stock of problems related to minorities and will provide adequate succor. The bereaved family members were given housing facility in Rajiv Swagruha project in Bandlaguda and the district Collector promised to provide them with outsourcing jobs to them.

He also said family of Lance Naik Feroz Khan martyred during a fight with enemies on the day of Bakrid, will get Rs 5 lakh compensation, 300 sq yards of land in Banjara Hills, or Jubilee Hills. He said that steps are being taken to provide a gas agency to the family.

A three-member committee was formed to look into the issue “Nita Qat” for bringing back those residing in Gulf, Saudi Arabia. So far 11,500 people were affected and will get them back if they agree or ensure protection of jobs over there, he added. (NSS)
