Minorities welfare day on Azad birthday

The State Government is observing the birth anniversary of the first Educational Minister of India Moulana Abul Kalam Azad as Minorities Welfare Day, on November 11 at Ravindra Bharathi. Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Ahmedullah will be the chief guest and will inaugurate the function.

In a press note, Mohd Hashim Shariff, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of AP State Minorities Finance Corporation Limited said that the people’s representatives, religious scholars and prominent personalities from different walks of life will attend the function. The welfare and developmental schemes and programmes relating to the minorities in the state will be focused on this occasion.

Principal Secretary Minorities Welfare Neelam Sahani and Commissioner Minorities Welfare S.M. Iqbal were also participating in the programme. (NSS)
