Minorities scholarships – Thousands fear deprivation – Zahid Ali Khan to represent Najma Heptulla

Hyderabad: The new regulations of Pre-matric and Post-matric Central Scholarships have increased the difficulties of students. As per the new regulations the students are required to submit parents’ income certificates, details of fees etc. It takes three to four weeks to obtain income certificate from Revenue Officials. The condition of registering applications online and also scanning the documents is causing additional expenditure to the students.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily has decided to request Union Minister of Minorities Welfare, Ms. Najma Heptulla to waive these conditions as it would lead to deprivation of many Muslim candidates from submission of scholarship applications.
