(Siasat News)Govt. of India has decided to enhance the number of Central Govt. scholarships to minority students of pre-matric and post matric courses during the academic year 2012-2013. For A.P. State 3,25,159 pre-matric and 41,188 post matric scholarships have been allotted. In the same way, in merit-cum-means category, in addition to 2,601 candidates, other candidates will also get scholarships. This year (i.e., 2011-12) the target for A.P. State pre-Matric scholarship was 1,91,973 and for post matric it was 20,550. In merit-cum-means category, last year the target was 1100.
Dr. Mohammed Ilyas Rizvi, Managing Director informed that for registering new scholarships the last date is 30th September 2012 and for renewals it is 31st December 2012. After registering their applications, the candidates have to submit printouts in Finance corporation’s office before 10th October and 10th January respectively.
