Minority community has not been given proper representation in the separate committees announced by Congress high command for Telangana and Seemandhra which has caused resentment among minority leaders and cadre of the party.
High command on Tuesday announced Seemandhra and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committees, chairs of campaign, manifesto and Pradesh election committees. 22-member committee for Telangana and 20-member election committee for Andhra has been announced. Two former ministers Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Mohammed Fareeduddin have been included in 22-member committee of Telangana while Seemandhra committee includes name of former minister Ahmedullah.
Congress party wants to gain minority community support in Telangana who are nearly 15 percent of the total population. Without the support of minorities Congress cannot fulfill the dream of forming the government; but overlooking minority community in the committees just before the elections have created disappointment among minorities.
