Hyderabad: House Committee of Telangana Assembly of Dept. of Minorities Welfare will visit Dargah Hazrat Syed Sadullah Husaini, Bada Pahad, Nizamabad today. The committee will consult district Collector and the officials of the Dept. of forests in order to protect 711 acres of Wakf property on which Dept. of Forest is putting its claim. The Committee will also review the functioning of Wakf Committee of Dargah.
Mr. Mohammed Asadullah, CEO of Wakf Board told that the record of 711 acres of Wakf land is registered in Wakf Board. Its entry is found in the book of Wakfs in 1958, 1960 and 1969 gazettes. On the contrary the Dept. of Forests declared in its notification released in 1964 as its property. The Dept. of Forests believes that there is only 18 acres of Wakf land under the property of the Dargah.
The House Committee will have discussions with the officials of Dept. of Forests and make suggestions for enhancement of Revenue for Wakf Board. At present the local committee is suspended and the managements of the Dargah is under the supervision of Wakf Board Officials. After this decision, the income of Wakf Board through this Dargah has reduced. The development plan of the Dargah will also be reviewed. There is a plan to provide modern amenities to the pilgrims.
