The weekly grievance cell to hear the issues and complaints regarding institutions run by Minority Welfare Department was held on Monday; however no high official of the Minority institutions attended the grievance cell. Besides no complaint or representation was received by the people against any institution.
Since the superannuation of Minority Welfare Minister M A Waheed, the chief posts of three minority institutions remain vacant. Secretary Director Urdu Academy Prof. S A Shukoor could not attend the cell due to illness and chief executive officer Waqf Board M A Hameed because of Waqf Board meeting.
General manager Minority Finance Corporation Vilayat Husain told that people can benefit from the grievance cell but there is need to create awareness among public regarding this.
