Mr. Mahboob Alam Khan, Secretary, Anwar-ul-Loom Education Society welcomed Mr.Zahid Ali Khan’s campaign for fees reiubursement.He appealed to the people to participate in Dharna programme which is being organized at 10am at Indira Park.
Mr. Mahboob Alam Khan told that with the new policy of fees reimbursement, students belonging to Minorities would face injustice.
He told that by organizing this protest programme,Mr.Zahid Ali Khan has tried to awaken the awareness among the students and their parents.
We should participate in the Dharna Programme to show our displeasure and disagreement to the Govt. so that Govt should know that the Minorities are not happy with its revised policy of fees reimbursement. He pointed out that for S.C’s, &S.T’s, there is an arrangement of paying their fees.
B.c’s and Minority communities are educationally backward. It was the duty of the Govt to have help these communities.
Minorities are far behind in the field of education from S.C’s and S.T’s. With the introduction of fees reimbursement scheme, Minorities had a ray of hope that they would develop in the field of professional education on par with other communities but due to the new policy of the Govt, they are disappointed.
Mr Mahboob Alam Khan told that neglecting Minorities in the field of education is regrettable. There is a need to struggle in this matter. Congress Govt of Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy,instead of introducing new welfare schemes, is abandoning the old schemes.
He declared the budget allocation for Minorities as insufficient and said that on the one hand, Govt is making promises to allocate some more amounts under a sub-plan for Minorities and on the other hand, it is canceling the already existing schemes, such as fees reimbursement scheme.
By modifying the scheme, Minorities are being deperived of the benefits of higher professional education. All the Minorities should, therefore, unite and fight for justice.
The campaign which Mr.Zahid Ali Khan has launched should be further extended to force Central Govt. to start more welfare schemes for Minorities.
He expressed his solidarity and support for Mr.Zahid Ali Khan in his Dharna Programme and made an appeal to people to join this campaign in large numbers to make it a success.
