State Minister for Rural Development Mr. D Makakyavara Prasad told that there is no difference between the issues of minorities and backward classes. Even today minorities are refused to give a house on rent in several areas of Hyderabad city. He asserted that country’s development is not possible without the development of minorities. BJP is an anti-minority party, claimed Mr. Prasad.
Addressing a minority convention held by Pradesh Congress Minority Department, at Prakasham Hall Gandhi Bhawan, Mr. Prasad asserted that even after 60 years of independence discrimination against Muslims is prevalent in Hyderabad.
A report was published in English daily the Hindu 10 days ago that an IT worker belonging to minority community who is drawing a salary of 1 lakh was refused to give house on rent.
