The announcement of the CM for setting up commissionerate of Minorities Welfare, formation of study circle for competitive examinations for Minorities are the best deeds of the Congress Govt. He further said that the credit for reserving 4% seats in jobs is also a big deed of Congress Govt.
Govt. is taking concrete steps in the light of Justice Sachar and Justice Ramganttha Mishra Commissions’ recommendations. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Shah Jehan Basha while participating on the discussions on Budget. Expressing his views on the demands of the Minorities welfare, he praised the efforts of the Govt.
He pointed out that out of 17,600 houses, the Muslims have been allotted 8039 houses. CM ordered to restart coaching programmes which were closed down for want of funds. CM also enhanced the grant of Dairatul Maarif from Rs. 50 lakh to Rs. 1.25 crore. He also said that Govt. is giving subsidy to Muslim girls for marriages.
