Minorities Welfare Minister SM Ahmedullah on Friday informed the State Legislative Assembly that the Commissionerate for Minorities Welfare has started functioning temporarily.
In his reply to a question raised by MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi and others during Question Hour, the minister said that the Commissionerate was functioning temporarily from the office of the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, APSMFC at Haj House. However, he said the office would be shifted shortly to the allotted building at 5th floor of Raja Ram Bhavan at Tilak Road.
Ahmedullah said that the State Government Vide GO Ms No 130, Minorities Welfare (MFC) Department, Dated 18.12.2012 accorded permission for creation of a Commissionerate (Directorate) of Minorities Welfare. (INN)
