A.P. State Minorities Commission has recommended for investigating the rape case of a minor Muslim girl of Nalagonda through CBCID. There is an indication that the investigations made by police are meant to protect the real culprits. Police is trying to save them. A delegation of Commission visited Nalagonda and got the details. This decision was taken in the review committee meeting of the commission to consider 400 various complaints. Prof. Maqbool Hussain, Mr. Surjeed Singh, Mr. Gowtham Jain, Dr. Qurathul-ain and Ms. Prabha Joseph attended the meeting. Mr. Abid Rasool Khan briefed the news reporters after the meeting. He said that during the past 50 days the commission received 400 complaints out of which 50 of serious nature. These complaints includes the shifting of Urdu medium vacancies of DSC 2008 and 2012 from reserve category to open category. Filling up Unani compounders transparency in Engineering and Medical admission etc.
The Commission directed various Depts. to fill up the vacant posts. Commission will also oversee Engineering and Medical admissions in order to make transparency. On the complaints of detaining Muslim youths unnecessarily in Jails and for not releasing them for not filling sureties, the commission wrote a letter to DGP Prisons seeking report. Commission also requested the police officer to reinvestigate the burning of a Muslim women in Banjarahills. It also instructed the police officials to reinvestigate the cases Muslim youths who have been implicated in various cases in Musheerabad. Mr. Abid Rasool Khan told that commission has received complaints pertaining to a sale of wakf properties worth Rs.1000 crore in which it is suspected that some Wakf Board officials and a few Mutawallis are involved. Orders have been issued to investigate these case and to submit a detail report to commission.
