Minorities Commission issues notice to Registrar, MANUU

On the basis of the news published in Siasat on 2nd November about the irregularities committed by Maulana Azad National Urdu University in appointing non-Urdu knowing teachers to teach Urdu medium students of the University, A.P. State Minorities Commission issued notice to Registrar of the University. It is expected that the hearing of this case will be done on 16th November in the office of the commission.

It may be noted that Maulana National Urdu University was established to promote Urdu Language and Literature by imparting teaching through Urdu Medium for all the courses. The commission received complaints that non-Urdu teachers have been appointed in the University.

The Commission issued a notice to the Registrar of MANUU asking him to produce relevant files in the commission’s office. If need be, necessary action would be taken by taking help from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
