Even after refunding unspent balance allocated for the implementation of welfare schemes to the Govt. of India, is there is any doubt that the Muslim Ummah has been imposed incompetent Muslim leadership? These leaders, inspite of being faithful to their electorate, engage themselves to fulfill their vested interests. All their activities revolve around their personal benefits. At least for the past one decade these “So-Called” Muslim faces have been proving to be so. It is not that such unspent amounts have been refunded earlier. From the sanctioned budget of 2008-09 Rs. 33.63 crore and from the budget of 2009-10 Rs. 31.50 crore were returned to Govt. of India as unspent balance amounts.
In the same manner from the budget allotted for Sarva Shiksha Abhyan for the modernization of Islamic institutions a sum of Rs. 4.40 crore was returned. This amount was also returned due to the so-called honesty of a very honest Muslim officer heading this department.
There are news that this year also from the budget allocated for Deeni Madrasas, a sum of Rs. 3 to 4 crore is likely to be sent back to Central Govt. On the other hand, the Dept. of Minorities Welfare gave proof of its inefficiency by the lethargy of its minister for keeping the file of Haj House pending. CM had announced that from next year, Haj Pilgrims will be sent off from the New Haj House.
Normally complaints are made about the Minister for Minorities programmes but in reality the story is different. Huge amounts are being sent back to the Central Govt. without spending them. The damage caused by the incompetent and inefficient Muslim leadership is an irreparable loss of the Muslim Ummah.
It is a tragedy that some Muslim leaders of the city are pressurizing the Govt. for the allocation of more funds for Minorities but the Muslim institutions and Muslim bureaucrats are not utilizing the amounts allocated in the budget.
The most tragic part is that neither the Muslim leadership nor the Muslim organizations take the unspent Govt. budget seriously. No protest, no dharna, no rally and no such agitation was launched.
Despite refund of such huge amounts allocated for the Muslims, the silence maintained by the Muslim leadership is astonishing. Perhaps they want to exploit this situation to blame the Govt. in future.
The common man is perplexed as to what should he do? How long can we be confine ourselves to this kind of political thought? How long can we continue to depend on our incompetent Muslim leadership for the redressal of our problems? Can’t we ourselves do something to break this silence?
It must be remembered that ours is a country where rights can be obtained only through sustained efforts and struggles. Struggle is such a powerful weapon using it, our compatriots have achieved success. The latest example is that of the Gujjars of Rajasthans. Their population in comparison to the Muslims is very negligible but when this sect came on to the roads, the portals of New Delhi were shaken and their agitation created a situation similar to a quake in the corridors of power in Delhi.
When Madiga caste protests in Hyderabad, the sleep of the rulers gets disturbed. The jewelers of Hyderabad are agitating against the 4% increase in VAT. They sent a message to the portals of power that this tax enhancement is unacceptable to them. It is hoped that there will be some outcome of this struggle in future.
When these people, less in number than us, are successful in getting their problems solved, we can also succeed but the condition is that we should stop looking at the so-called Muslim leadership for the redressal of our grievances. We should start struggle on our own.
Let us start and tighten our belts. We can see that Allah will send his help-Insha Allah-!
