Govt. of A.P. has allocated Rs. 370, 92, 87, 000 for Minorities this year. There are 43.77 lakh Minorities in Andhra area. This budget is very insufficient for Minorities. Govt. of Telangana has allocated Rs. 1000 crore for Minorities.
According to Commssionerate of Minorities Welfare Rs. 115 crore have been allocated for pre-matric, post-matric and Merit-cum-means scholarships. Rs. 100 crore will be by Central Govt. For fees reimbursement, Govt. of A.P. has allocated Rs. 80 crore, for construction of hostels and residential schools, a sum of 1.52 crore has been allocated. Minorities Finance Corporation will get Rs. 18, 06, 71, 000 for the welfare schemes of Minorities. Rs. 10 crore is assigned for subsidies. A.P. Christians Finance Corporation will get Rs. 1 crore. For Mass Marriages Rs. 50 lakh has been earmarked. Urdu Academy of A.P. gets Rs. 1 crore. Rs. 5.25 crore has been reserved for Urdu Ghar and marriage halls constructions. Rs. 50 lakh has been set aside for digitalization of Wakf records. A.P. Hajj committee gets Rs. 90 lakh. Center for Education Development of Minorities in A.P. State gets Rs. 50 lakh whereas Wakf Board will get Rs. 2 crore. Minorities Commission of A.P. has been 9.27 lakh whereas Rs. 1.83 lakh has been given to Daratul Marif of Osmania University.
