Ghaziabad: A minor girl was allegedly raped by her cousin brother during a marriage ceremony in Ataur Nangla village in the district, police said today.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Manish Mishra said the girl and her parents had come to attend a wedding ceremony from Bulandshahar.
After the rituals were over, a woman named Krishna Devi called her in a room and asked her to get some rest.
After some time, Jitender entered the room and raped the girl. He also threatened her with dire consequences if she told about the incident to anyone.
The girl narrated her ordeal to her parents, who filed a police complaint.
A case has been registered against Jitender and Devi under sections 376 (rape), 120B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC and the POCSO Act.
