Hyderabad: Patancheru police on Thursday arrested three people for charges of allegedly gang-raping a minor girl at Chitrapuri colony of Ameenpur in Patancheru Mandal.
According to Hans News Service, the offenders first kidnapped the girl in a car while she was visiting a local store and they took her to a remote place near Vani Nagar where they performed the act.
The girl’s father works as a watchman for an apartment in Ameenpur. The police are inquiring the details from the spot and trying to identifying the accused people from CCTV footage.
Earlier, in the previous year, a veterinary doctor was raped and killed by four people. Her charred remains were found under a culvert at Chatanpally in Shadnagar. However, the accused was later killed in an encounter by the police during the crime scene recreation when they tried to flee the spot attacking the police.
