Minor girl apprehended for attempting to sell baby

New Delhi: A 15-year-old- girl has been apprehended by police for allegedly trying to sell an infant in Faridabad.
According to police, Child Welfare Committee, Faridabad, President H S Mallik informed that the minor was found with a one-and-half-month old baby boy in a suspicious condition on a state transport bus.

Yesterday, the minor was presented before the Child Welfare Committee during which the girl said she hailed from Delhi and the baby was of her sister’s sister-in-law. She said her sister promised to give her Rs 200 if she sold the baby, police said, adding she admitted to have sold babies before.
