Jaipur: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused by a neighbour in Gautam Nagar area in Jaipur, police said on Saturday.
The alleged incident took place last evening when the accused, Surendra Harijan, 35, called the girl on the pretext of some work.
“The accused took her to a room and showed her obscene films and sexually abused her,” a police official said.
“Later, the girl narrated the incident to her family following which an FIR was registered under the relevant sections of POCSO Act last night,” the official said, adding that the accused was absconding.
