A minor girl was raped by the son of her house owner at Edi Bazaar in Madannapet on Wednesday.
Madannapet police said, On Friday Jan 24 The 14 year-old minor-girl who stayed along with her parents on the ground floor of a building went to take a bath when the accused M. A. Abid (22) allegedly sexually violated her two days ago, the police said.
The family members desisted from lodging a police complaint for fear of media coverage. On Saturday Jan 25 the girl along with her parents made a complaint at the Madannapet police station after their relatives convinced them, the police added. (INN)
