In yet another Naval mishap, three people, including a navy sailor, were injured in a minor fire on frigate INS Ganga, which was going through routine maintenance and refit at the Naval Dockyard here.
The incident occurred at 11 am when the welding work was going on.
“During the welding work, the (welding) gun took time to ignite and when it did, thick flames erupted from the gun, injuring three people including two civilians,” the sources said.
“It was a minor accident in which three people sustained burns. They have been taken to the naval dispensary for first said,” the sources added.
