Titilagarh: A nine-year-old minor boy was beheaded in Odisha as a sacrifice to appease a goddess said Police on Saturday.
The decapitated body was recovered from the riverbed near Sindhekela area in Bolangir district, NDTV reports.
The boy identified as Ghanshyam Rana hails from Sindhekela village and was reportedly sacrificed by his sorcerer uncle, Kunja Rana and his cousin brother Sambhaban Rana who believes in black magic.
The Odisha police have arrested the duo and one of them has also confessed to the crime.

The duo practiced black magic on the minor boy and subsequently sacrificed him as part of a ritual to appease Goddess Durga during Durga Puja.
He was was missing since October 13. Three days later, his beheaded body was found five kilometres away from his house near Sundhimunda village.
In a similar incident, a sorcerer was arrested during Durga Puja last year from the same region for sacrificing a boy in the name of black magic rituals.
