Hyderabad, January 09: Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu today received flak from ministers for terming the administration inactive and ineffective in connection with the violence that erupted across the State yesterday.
The ministers called Naidu a liar and questioned his commitment to efforts to curb violence during the recent agitations for and against separate Telangana.
Home Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy said that Naidu fuelled regional feelings in Telangana and other regions by playing a double- game.
Doubting his commitment to either of the causes she said Naidu had no moral right to comment on yesterday’s violence as he had kept mum on the violence before.
Panchayat Raj Minister B Satyanarayana said the TDP chief was a liar.
“Desperate to regain power he will do anything for political mileage,’’ the minister said and added that Naidu inflamed regional passions by asking his party MLAs and MLCs to resign. “Naidu can go to any length to regain power,’’ he said and suspected his hand behind the unrest in the State.
He appealed to television channels to have self-regularation and not telecast news for vested interests or commercial purpose.
