Several ministers and MLAs, including PCC Chief Botcha Satyanarayana, on Thursday, consoled the victims of the accident that took place in Visakhapatnam Steel Plant on Wednesday night.
The ministers Ganta Srinivasa Rao, P Balaraju, Kondru Murali have expressed their deep condolences to the bereaved families. They also visited the hospitals where the injured persons were being treated.
Speaking on the occasion, the ministers have said that the incident like this never happened in the history of the Steel Plant. Botcha said that the government was examining the options of giving ex- gratia along with giving a job to the bereaved family members in the Steel Plant.
On the other hand, doctors of the Seven Hills Hospital have revealed that the condition of five employees, who were under treatment, was serious. Plastic Surgeon Dr Anjali said that the skin of two employees was totally burnt and 95 per cent of skin of three employees was burnt. She said that the doctors were extending ventilation facility to these five victims. (NSS)
