Ministers face angry crowd in hospital

Howrah (WB), December 14: Two ministers today faced an angry crowd when they visited the Uluberia hospital to enquire about the condition of the injured people of yesterday’s bus accident which claimed 23 lives.

More than 500 people booed the Food Processing Minister Mohanta Chattopadhyay and Transport Minister Ranjit Kundu on their arrival at the hospital.

Some caustic remarks were thrown at the transport minister, police said.

The ministers left the hospital in a hurry without talking to the press in view of the restless situation in the hospital premises.

Of 53 injured, thirty persons were currently being treated at the Uluberia hospital.
