Ministers appearing before CBI shameful: Narayana

CPI State secretary Dr K Narayana has said that it was shameful that ministers were being summoned to appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Addressing a seminar on ‘Crisis in agriculture, solutions’ in the Vadlamudi Vignan University under Chebrole mandal of Guntur district, Narayana has demanded that Emaar, Vanpic, Sompet and other Special Economic Zones be immediately cancelled and all the lands be given back to the farmers. He said that it was shameful that ministers, who have to set an example to others, were now being made to appear before the CBI. He also demanded that the ministers facing allegations should first resign and then appear before the CBI.

Stating that farmer was the real ruler of the nation, he alleged that political parties were unnecessarily delaying payment of remunerative prices to farmers. He also alleged that the laws being enacted in the legislatures were largely anti-farmer. (NSS)
