Expressing discontent at the officials for tardy pace of welfare works, Tribal Welfare Minister Chandulal today directed them to expedite the process and implement ST Sub Plan in a transparent manner.
During a review meeting he directed the officials to set a target for three months to complete the works. He said that the government will spend Rs 5,035 cr for tribal welfare in the state besides setting up a wing to monitor the schemes and programs. The minister said that the government is likely to provide loans with 100 per cent subsidy to empower tribal youth
Soon a web portal will be launched to see that the schemes are made online he said adding that the government is planning to release Rs 100 cr towards payment of arrears related to free power use of 50 units by tribal households. As the Centre is planning to introduce accident insurance to the people, the government will consider to extend premium to the families of the STs
