Darbhanga (Bihar), September 20: A Bihar minister and two of his supporters were arrested on charge of violation of the model code of conduct as well as the prohibitory orders in Darbhanga district, but later released on bail.
Minister for Food and Consumer Protection Narendra Singh and his supporters Ganesh Singh and Hemchandra Singh, were booked under various sections of the Model Code of Conduct and the Indian Penal Code, police said.
Three of the vehicles in the Minister’s cavalcade have also been seized, they said.
The minister was travelling in a cavalcade along with supporters for electioneering for the ruling JD(U) in Darbhanga district.
