Minister seeks report on purchase of crockery by Hajj committee chairman

Hyderabad, January 29: The controversy over purchase of crockery by Hajj committee chairman took a new turn when Minority Welfare Minister sought detailed report regarding the matter.

It is said that the minority welfare minister wrote to furnish details on the report presented by executive officer Hajj committee, over the reimbursement claim made by Hajj committee chairman regarding crockery purchase.

The government will once again call for report from the executive officer.

It must be recalled that the government for the first time had given the chairman, the power to purchase crockery on par with the state minister however a limit was set for him but the chairman violating the rule submitted the bill seeking reimbursement of 1 lakh 50 thousand rupees.

When the executive officer called for details the chairman withdrew his claim. Now that the chairman himself has withdrawn his claim the government gave a new turn to the controversy by seeking a report from the Hajj committee.
