The Andhra Pradesh State Haj Committee has made elaborate arrangements for smooth departure of around 8000 Haj pilgrims from the Hyderabad Embarkation point for the Haj 2013. The first flight will take off at 8:40 PM on Sept 25, while the last flight is scheduled at 4:25 PM on Oct 9.
All arrangements right from the reception of the Haj pilgrims to their departure for the Airport have been made at the Haj Camp, which includes customs screening, Immigration, issue of Passport and boarding pass and issue of foreign currency. Accommodation and Food will be provided to the pilgrims from the districts.
As many as 25 Chartered Haj flights of the Saudi Arabian Airlines will take the Haj pilgrims clad in the Ehram (two white cotton sheets) to Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from where they will proceed to Makkah. After performing the Haj the pilgrims will proceed to Madeenah Munnawarah. The Hajis will return back to country from Madeena Munnawarah.
Mohammed Ahmadulla Minister for Minorities Welfare, Wakf and Urdu Academy, accompanied by the higher officials, visited the GMR International Airport and the Haj Camp at Nampally and inspected the arrangements made for the convenience of the Haj pilgrims.
He asked the GMR authorities to provide a collar mike to the Imam at the time of offering Namaz, so that all the worshippers can listens and follow him, for which the GMR authorities agreed. He asked the GMR authorities that why the arrangements could not be made at the Main International Terminal for departure of the Haj pilgrims to which they informed him that the slot may not be available easily for the Haj flights at Hyderabad, Jeddah and Madeenah.Therefore arrangement was made at the Haj Terminal exclusively for the Haj Flights. He inspected the facilities being provided to the pilgrims and the visitors at the Haj Terminal and gave certain suggestions to improve the same.
Later the Minsiter visited the Haj Camp at Nampally and inspected the arrangements made for accommodation of the pilgrims, cooking and serving the food. He asked the Wakf Board and Haj Committee officials to make foolproof and flawless arrangements for smooth Haj operations. He said that there should not be any difficulty in the movement of DGT Vehicles and the RTC buses of the Haj pilgrims. He advised the officials for cleaning the entire area in and around the Haj House. The Minister expressed his satisfaction on the arrangements and gave suggestions to improve the functioning of the Haj Camp 2013.
