The Andhra Pradesh Government today launched a kidney care speciality centre–NephroPlus as part of its commitment to provide world class renal care to patients from all sections of the society. The Centre,set up under a Public-Private Partnership mode,was inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Medial Education Minister Kondru Murali Mohan at the Sanath Nagar ESIC Super Speciality Government Hospital here. Speaking on the occaion, Mr Murali Mohan said the 10 bed centre had the capacity to be expanded upto 25 beds and would adress the growing need for highest quality kidney care for patients, especially those from the economically weaker sections of the society at affordable cost. Andhra Pradesh Government was spending about Rs 6000 crore per annum on the health sector, he said and added such centres would be setup at 10 goverment hospitals in the state for the benefit of the poor.
