Minorities Welfare and Wakf Minister SM Ahmedullah visited several Wakf properties in the city here on Saturday.
Speaking to media persons later, the minister said that the officials have been asked to prepare a plan to construct a commercial complex at the Wakf land at Begumpet which earlier housed Task Force office. Similarly, foundation stone for a G+4 complex at Hakeem Basheer Wakf at Khairtabad would be laid in the next 10 days.
Ahmedullah said that a decision on what should be done with the property near Haj House would be taken soon. He said that the Wakf Board needs Rs 10-12 crore to construct the Wakf View Mall near Haj House at Nampally. He said a decision on the construction of new Haj House would be taken soon.
The minister was accompanied with Minorities Welfare Special Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel, Wakf Board Special Officer SM Iqbal and other officials. (INN)
