Srinagar, March 16: Jammu and Kashmir Forest minister Mian Altaf Ahmad today dismissed allegations levelled by the opposition PDP that government was adopting “arbitrary” policies in releasing funds, saying the coalition government does not believe in political vendetta. “The present government does not believe in political vendetta and is strictly committed to equitable and balanced development of all regions of the state irrespective of party considerations”, Ahmad said addressing a public gathering at Kangan, 40 kms from here in Ganderbal district.
PDP Patron and former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Sunday had accused NC led coalition government of adopting arbitrary policies in releasing developmental funds. “During PDP-Congress coalition all elected representatives irrespective of their party affiliations were involved in the developmental activities and equal funds were distributed in all regions and sub-regions,” Mufti had said.
Ahmad said no government can claim that everything is going in right direction. However, the overall development which took place during short tenure of present government is an eye opener for all, he said.
