Minister for Infrastructure and Ports Ganta Srinivas Rao on Tuesday asked the district administration to take stern action against those involved in the illegal manufacturing of fire crackers.
The minister visited the King’s George Hospital here to meet the children who were injured while preparing firecrackers in an illegal unit at Lakshmidevapeta of Anakapalli on Sunday. The minister was informed that as many as seven children were injured in the fire accient and the condition of 15-year-old Gautam was serious.
Talking to reporters later, the minister said that the officials have been asked to take stern action against the illegal and unsafe manufacturing of firecrackers. He said that the hospital authorities have also been asked to ensure proper treatment for the children injured in the accident.
