An ancient beautiful historical tomb exists at Attapur, Mehdipatnam opposite to Crystal Garden function Hall. Few days ago the tomb had a minaret on the top of it. This tomb is unique and one of its kind in the whole Hyderabad city. It has 6 arches; no such tomb can be seen in the entire city. The tomb is located in a non-Muslim predominant area. There is only a 3 feet narrow land leading to the tomb. Now a board has been installed on the pathway which inscribes Srinivas Nagar Welfare Society Municipal; no: 13-6-432/22 on it.
There is also a gate on the path which is always locked. Few days ago a family used to reside in the tomb. There is also an open land in front of the tomb where it is written that the land belongs to Vinod Kumar Gupta. Few days ago there used to be a board here which mentioned that this is a government land. As the minaret of the tomb is missing, in the same way the board is also missing.
A non Muslim neighbour told that 60 years ago there used to be a Nawab’s vineyard, in the middle of which the tomb was constructed. The Nawab used to arrive at the vineyard as a recreation. While another Muslim neigbour clarified that there was a grave in the middle of the tomb which has been annihilated. Since the tomb is empty now the people residing around it, throw garbage in the area.
