Hyderabad: Political activities have gained momentum in the state in view of 2019 elections. Political alignment and blackmailing has virtually begun. The vested interests, while trying to retain their seats, are also interested to intimidate the ruling party.
Speculations are rife following two hour long meeting of Anumula Revanth Reddy Telugu Desam Party leader from Telangana, the floor leader of Telangana Telugu Desam Legislative Party and working president of Telangana TDP and Majlis-e-Ittehadul-Muslimeen (MIM) floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi. It must be noted that TDP is an ally of BJP at national and state level. Revanth Reddy, who had made his political debut with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is a staunch rival of Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Meeting of Akbaruddin Owaisi with Revanth Reddy who, had demanded that the State government celebrate September 17 officially as Telangana Merger Day, and immediately after that Akbaruddin Owaisi’s criticism over state government especially on the performance of Minority Welfare Department denote that not only BJP but every political party has begun pointing fingers on Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government.
Revanth Reddy’s refusal to comment on his and young Owaisi’s meeting also raises doubts. Though it will take time to lift the curtains over the matter, but political experts are linking the meeting with MIM’s participation in elections of north-Indian states.
