Telangana TDP working president A. Revanth Reddy has said though the “Car” belonged to the ruling TRS, but the MIM was at the steering wheel.
This was stated by none other then MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Revanth Reddy alleged while speaking to the media at NTR Trust Bhavan. Quoting surveys conducted by his party, the TDP leader said the TDP-BJP combine would win 80 to 85 seats in GHMC elections. The main contest in the GHMC elections would be between the TDP-BJP and TRS-MIM combines, he said, adding that tickets would be given to those who are dedicated workers.
Revanth Reddy said it was the Centre that was implementing the double bedroom housing scheme in the urban areas and the TDP-BJP combine was alone capable of building four lakh double bedroom houses under Greater Hyderabad limits. He also alleged that the TRS wanted to win the GHMC elections by encouraging defections and undemocratic methods. He also alleged that the TRS was going to spend Rs 300 crore for GHMC elections. (NSS)
