MIM MLAs stages walk-out in Assembly against State Govt attitude

MIM members staged a walkout from the Legislative Assembly, protesting against the State Government attitude in not allowing them to speak, on Monday.

MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi urged the Speaker to allow their party members to speak on the employment issue. But the Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary said that members who have given notices under 344 only have the chance to speak on the subject. Irritated Akbaruddin questioned the Speaker as to how he had allowed all the members in the august House to speak on power issue. Responding to Akbaruddin’s poser, Legislative Assembly Affairs Minister T Harish Rao said that the decision has taken in the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) to allow the members who served notices to speak on the subject.

Reacting sharply to Harish Rao’s contention, Akbaruddin challenged the former that he was ready to tender his resignation in case the BAC took such a decision. Akbaruddin staged a walk out along with his party members protesting against the Government’s attitude in the House. (NSS)
