Hyderabad: AIMIM leader Zakir Hussain Javeed was booked for drunk driving at Banjara Hills on Friday night.
According to Banjara Hills traffic inspector N Vidhya Sagar, during a drive against drunken driving, Javeed’s car was stopped near Indo-American cancer hospital.
Javeed, who was in an inebriated condition was asked to undergo breathalyser test.
The alcohol content (BAC) was 83 mg/100 ml against the permissible limit of 30 mg/100 mal, as per TOI reports.
However, the MIM leader rubbished the allegations and claimed to be made the target of political conspiracy to defame him and his party.
As part of the drive, 23 motorists were booked for drunken driving on Friday, including two women and will be produced in the court.
Javeed had unsuccessfully contested Assembly election from Rajendranagar.
