MIM MLA Ahmed Balala on Thursday urged the State Government to increase the retirement age of its employees from 58 to 60 years.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, Balala said that the retirement age in 24 out of 29 States is 60 years. Therefore, he demanded that the retirement age in Telangana State too be enhanced to 60 years. He said that the new State needs the services of experienced employees. He also expressed concern over the non-issue of pension to the retired employees of SC, ST, BC and Minorities corporations.
Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali assured to look into the demand. (INN)
