MIM legislators threaten other party leaders

Alleging that the MIM legislators threatened other parties’ candidates as to why they were contesting in the GHMC elections, TPCC official spokesperson G Niranjan said he lodged a complaint with the Telangana State Election Commission and GHMC Commissioner in this regard seeking immediate action.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, Niranjan alleged that the MIM MLAs used filthy language instead of leaving the place when the Mogulpura Circle Inspector went to the spot as there was no permission to the MLAs to enter the returning officer’s room. Niranjan said only contesting candidates and proposing candidates only have permission to enter the returning office during the scrutiny.

He said the MIM legislators Mumtaz Khan and Pasha Quadri threatened other parties’ candidates at Mogulpura Playground where the offices of the returning officers of Talabchanchalam-34, Mogulpura-33, Pathergatti-32 and Gowlipura-35 divisions were situated saying that in these segments no other party other than AIMIM will win from these constituencies. He said if anything happens during the campaigning, the candidates themselves will be responsible. (NSS)
