BJP leader Dr Bhagwanth Rao has promised to bring development in the Old City of Hyderabad.
Speaking to media persons after filing nomination as BJP’s candidate from Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat, Bhagwanth Rao alleged that the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen has turned the Old City as a den of communalism. He said while the entire country witnessed development, the Old City remained backward for the last several decades. He accused the MIM of deliberately stopping the development process to continue to exploit the voters.
Bhagwanth Rao, who is also the General Secretary of Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Committee, expressed confidence that he would win the elections and would develop the Old City at par with other parts of the country. He hoped that people would vote for the development agenda of BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. (INN)
