Hyderabad: Dr.Laxman BJP State President today strongly criticized MIM for stating that the Triple Talaq Bill was an attack on Muslims and said that Majilis was adopting a divide and rule policy.
Dr. Laxman said that MIM, an outfit of the Razakars, should know that the bill followed a Supreme Court judgment in August last year.
The Supreme Court had declared the practice of instant triple talaq unconstitutional and a divorce pronounced by uttering talaq three times in one sitting void and illegal. The Government of India only legitimized the Bill. The Bill had gone to Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha and both the Houses have passed the Bill.
Addressing a press conference after returning from USA Dr. Laxman said that just as Sati and Child Marriage were evil practices among Hindu communities so also triple talaq was an evil practice among Muslims. Stating that the Bill is not a religious issue but on grounds of Humanity. He alleged that the UPA Government had tried to suppress the triple talaq Bill as part of its appeasement policy.
Dr. Laxman pointed out that when Narendra Modi first learned of the Bill he brought the Bill to Parliament but the so-called secular parties including Congress opposed it. Now in his second term, he brought all pending Bills including triple talaq. Atleast 30 bills were presented in the Parliament of which 20 have passed he said.
He also lambasted Owaisi for his Parties utterances against the Ayurveda college and said that Hyderabad was not the private property of either Akbaruddin Owaisi or Asaduddin Owaisi and demanded that the Ayurveda college should continue at its original place failing which the BJP will ensure that the Unani Research Centre is occupied for the purpose.
Referring to TRS he said that the Party has no ideology nor understands the meaning of democracy and people are becoming the scapegoats to his dictatorial policies TRS is making fun of democracy. The recent Assembly session on New Municipal Act was a joke on Democracy. Stating that the Bill was against the Constitution but pointed out that it was bulldozed in the Assembly and Council. He alleged that whatever is going on in Telangana is on the directions of the MIM.
He further alleged that TRS was indulging in back seat driving whereas parties like MIM had the steering He further alleged that TRS has only one agenda . He also alleged that both the Father and SON meaning K Chandrashekar Rao and K. T Rama Rao are looting the Treasury and giving it to contractors for personnel benefits .
Stating that from 1st August to 7 2019 membership drive will be taken on vigrously with all leaders including himself will go to the booths along with their party leaders and workers and enroll atleast 100 members each day each booth so that by 2023 they are election ready and will win the elections with a huge majority.
Referring to Uttam Kumar Congress President’s comments that the BJP was only a urban party and its success was a hype created by media Dr. Laxman said that it was utter rubbish because the TPCCI President could not even save his seven MLAs who won the elections .They all joined the TRS that is the situation of Congress. He said that Congress is adopting opportunistic polices and joining hands with TRS to ensure defeat of the BJP .He said that such is a situation of Congress that soon there will be “To let Board ‘ on the State office .
He said that the Muslim women were welcoming talaq. This practice was not there is any of the Islamic countries or anywhere globally including Pakistan but was being practiced in India only. He wondered why the opposition were making noise on the issue when the Muslim women themselves were welcoming the move.
Earlier he spoke of his visit to US and said that the NRIS were happy with the Narendar Modi Government and assured to work for its expansion both abroad and in India. In October an NRI seminar will be held in India at Hyderabad .He said that every where he went the NRIs expressed happiness at the corrupt free rule of Modi and said that today they were proud to be called Indians.
On the occasion, Sudhakar Sharma BJP senior leader also welcomed the triple talaq and praised Modi.
