Danish millionaire Henrik Frederiksen is offering his exquisite private car collection at 40 million dollars in an auction.
The remarkable collection of nearly 50 motorcars is housed at Lyngsbaekgard Manor, which is located on Denmark’s eastern coast of Jutland near the historical town of Ebeltoft.
The automobiles were collected over the years by Frederiksen and his late wife Vivi, and boasts of primarily of pre-World War II cars, with the majority hailing from Great Britain, America and Germany, the CNN reported.
The automobiles all have the distinction of being in running condition.
The collection ranges from a 1905 Woods Electric Motor Vehicle to a 1973 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI Convertible, which was the preferred automobile of British and Indian royalty, and Frederiksen said that several of the models had even won top prizes at the world’s most prestigious events, like the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Carmel in California and the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, Italy.
Frederiksen admitted to have never sold a car before, but after his wife passed away just this spring, he decided to sell their beloved collection as it was something they did together.
Bonhams auction house will be exclusively representing the collection at sale, which will be held on 26 September at the Lyngsbaekgard Manor. (ANI)
