Imphal, July 18: Unidentified gunmen fired some rounds at the Regional Institute of Medical Science and Hospital (RIMSH) in Imphal West district of Manipur, official sources said here today. The firing at the eastern portion of the hospital last night, however, caused no casualty, the sources said.
The motive behind the incident was not yet known. Police is investigating whether the attack was connected to monetary demand made by some militant outfits from some doctors of the institute, the sources said.
