Kabul, May 05: Taliban militants have attacked an Afghan district headquarters in eastern Afghanistan.
Taliban and local officials confirmed the attack late Tuesday in Nangarhar province.
Provincial spokesman Ahmad Zia Abdulzai said Wednesday that authorities were trying to determine the number of casualties. The Taliban said 15 police and two of its fighters were killed.
The district headquarters houses police and other officials.
